Our Kids' Book Club meets monthly for elementary-aged children who enjoy reading chapter books.

The target age group for this club is grades 3rd through 5th, but any elementary-aged child who reads chapter books is welcome to attend. Parents/guardians are welcome to stay for club meetings.  (Students in 6th through 12th grade may join Teen Book Club and adults may join the Thistle Cottage Book Club.)

For our May meeting, we will be reading Odder by Katherine Applegate.  Learn more about this title here.  Copies may be borrowed from KDLA by visiting Harbin Memorial Library and presenting a valid library card.

Kids' Book Club is a great way for children to increase their interest in reading, to "unplug", to socialize, & to develop reading skills (comprehension, endurance, & speed).

About the branch

Harbin Memorial Library is our main facility and serves as the business office. The building includes a circulating collection of books, movies and more; public computer access and Wi-Fi; a large meeting room; a smaller conference room; and hosts multiple public events and activities throughout the year. A book drop is located at both front and back of the building, allowing 24/7 access to return borrowed materials.
As part of a single library system, materials can also be transferred freely between the main and branch libraries for patrons’ convenience.
