Learn how to grow and use a variety of herbs and spices in this monthly program!

Explore one herb or spice each month through history, gardening and cooking. We'll discuss recipes using the featured herb/spice, and we'll plant seeds or seedlings you can grow at home. Each participant will take home their plant as well as the non-perishable items needed to create one recipe.

For May, we'll be discussing and planting a pizza garden.

Space is limited, so make sure you register!

If you have previously registered but cannot attend, please cancel or let us know in advance so we can offer the spot to another interested patron.

About the branch

Thistle Cottage is a historic home located in downtown Greenville. The building includes a museum dedicated to local history on its upper level, as well as a gallery that features rotating exhibits throughout the year. The lower level houses our history and genealogy archives and research collection, including public records and vital statistics; past issues of local newspapers; files of information on community events, organizations and families; and much more. The facility also offers access to online resources with a dedicated public access computer and Wi-Fi.
A portion of the museum level is also available to rent for smaller events.
