Join us for our annual holiday celebration! Visit with Santa Claus, view our forest of trees decorated by community organizations, and enjoy holiday crafts and refreshments!
Stop in and see Santa in Greenville again this year! He'll be here Nov. 29, ready to hear your wishlists and pose for pictures in our beautiful historic house setting. He told us he's very excited to see everyone again this year -- don't let him down!
Everyone is welcome at this free event. Please bring a camera and come prepared for photos if you want a picture with Santa. Each visitor will have the opportunity to sit down with Santa Claus for a moment of conversation and a photo taken with your own device. We'll also have cookies, cocoa and kids' crafts available while you wait.
And, of course, don't forget about our Jubilee of Trees! We have lots of beautiful trees decorated for the holidays by various community organizations and businesses. Check those out and vote for your favorite while you're here! (You may even win a prize just by submitting a vote!)
We hope everyone will join us for this fun annual event. We can't wait to celebrate the holidays and welcome the winter season with you!
This will be Santa's only visit to Thistle Cottage for the year. However, the Jubilee of Trees will be open for viewing (and voting) during business hours Nov. 29-Dec. 30.
Please call us at 270-338-4760 if you have any questions about the Jubilee of Trees or Pictures with Santa.
This is a non-religious activity. Everyone, regardless of faith, creed or background, is welcome to participate by decorating a tree with your business/organization and/or visiting to enjoy the display and activities.

Thistle Cottage is a historic home located in downtown Greenville. The building includes a museum dedicated to local history on its upper level, as well as a gallery that features rotating exhibits throughout the year. The lower level houses our history and genealogy archives and research collection, including public records and vital statistics; past issues of local newspapers; files of information on community events, organizations and families; and much more. The facility also offers access to online resources with a dedicated public access computer and Wi-Fi.
A portion of the museum level is also available to rent for smaller events.
