Celebrate young artists with us this month! Artwork by Muhlenberg County K-8th grade students will be on exhibit in the gallery at Thistle Cottage for the month of March.

The Youth Art Show is back again at Thistle Cottage for 2026! Muhlenberg County artists in grades K-8 will have their work exhibited in the gallery at Thistle Cottage for the month of March.

Open houses are planned for the afternoon/evening of both March 2 and 3 in order to ensure everyone has an opportunity to attend. Artists and viewers may attend either open house, but March 2 is particularly focused on grades K-3 and March 3 on grades 4-8.

Free refreshments will be available during the open houses.

Come out and help us celebrate these talented young artists!

The Youth Art Show is sponsored by Muhlenberg County Public Libraries and the Muhlenberg Arts Council with assistance from Muhlenberg County Public Schools.

About the branch

Thistle Cottage is a historic home located in downtown Greenville. The building includes a museum dedicated to local history on its upper level, as well as a gallery that features rotating exhibits throughout the year. The lower level houses our history and genealogy archives and research collection, including public records and vital statistics; past issues of local newspapers; files of information on community events, organizations and families; and much more. The facility also offers access to online resources with a dedicated public access computer and Wi-Fi.
A portion of the museum level is also available to rent for smaller events.
